7th) meeting with our area
Coast
Guard officers again recapped the Coast
Guard mission and gave assurances that we can look forward to
minimum if any
interference with Ferry operations in the North Channel. Cutters will only
move into the North Channel
if asked or to alleviate threatening flooding conditions up-river.
Last year’s North Channel ice breaking efforts were provided to aid
ferry operations.
Of
special interest was the contact information for use after property
damage caused by ice breaking operations.
